The secretary bird is very large raptor endemic to Africa. It inhabits the grasslands and savannah of sub-Saharan region. It has an eagle-like head with long quills at the back. The secretary bird stands on long, stork-like legs at about 4′ tall. Although they are capable of flight, they are mostly terrestrial.
