This is a juvenile coyote. It is found throughout North and Central America and all the way up to the northernmost parts of Canada. Unlike wolves, the coyote thrives despite expanding human civilizations and even reproduce in metropolitan areas. They are opportunistic feeders, eating everything from small mammals to insects and fruits and vegetables.
