The banded palm civet or banded civet is found in the Sundaic region, Myanmar, peninsular Malaysia, peninsular Thailand, and Indonesia. They are listed as Vulnerable. This is due to over exploitation, habitat quality and destruction. The banded palm civet is roughly the size of a domestic house cat.
