Wombat

The wombat is a marsupial native to Australia. They’re found in forested, mountainous, and heathland areas of Southeast Australia, including Tasmania. They’re about 40″ long and weigh between 44-77 lbs. They have an extraordinarily slow metabolism, taking 8-14 days to complete digestion. They move slowly but can run up to 25mph and maintain that speed for about a minute and a half, when threatened. The skin on their rumps is thicker making it harder for predators to do too much damage. The wombat is fully capable of defending itself with powerful donkey kicks. Wombats can also deliver fierce and powerful bites. They might look cute, but humans beware!
