Swan

Swans usually mate for life, unless  a nesting failure occurs or one is killed by a predator. The remaining swan in that case, will find a new mate. There are 3-8 eggs per clutch. The swan is the largest member of water fowl. Males and females look alike, except for size. The male swan is bigger and heavier. They can be highly aggressive if protecting either territory or a nest.
