Satanic Leaf-tailed Gecko

Sorry for the delay, folks. Technical difficulties strike again. Okay, so here’s yesterday’s. I like geckos. But this is one of the creepiest I’ve ever seen. Meet the Satanic Leaf-tailed Gecko. They are native to Madagascar. They are in fact endemic to that area, meaning they are found nowhere else in the world. They are nocturnal and rely on camouflage both to avoid predators and to hunt insects. When threatened, they open their jaws wide to reveal a frightening, bright red mouth. They can also voluntarily shed their tails to avoid predators.
