The pig-nose turtle, also known as the pitted-shell turtle or Fly River turtle, is native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea. They are not completely aquatic. They grow up to 28″ in shell length and weigh up to 44 lbs. The pig-nose turtle is omnivorous, feeding off both plant and animal matter.
