Not sure which species if parrot this is. I believe it’s a Red-crowned Amazon parrot. In any case, there are roughly 372 species of parrot, mostly found in tropic and subtropic regions. The most prominent feature is the strong downward curved bill. The top mandible is not fused to the skull which allows for the incredible biting pressure they are able to exert. Along with crows, ravens, and jays, the parrot is considered the most intelligent of birds.
