Manta Ray

The manta ray is a large eagle ray. They range from 18’1″-23′ across the wingspan. They’re found in temperate, subtropical, and tropical waters. They may live as long as 50 years. The manta ray is a filter feeder, consuming large quantities of zooplankton in the forms of shrimp, krill, and planktonic crabs. Their biggest threat is overfishing.
