Fallow Deer

The fallow deer is native to western Eurasia, but has been successfully introduced to many areas around the world. Only the males have antlers, which are broad and more shovel-shaped, like a moose’s. They are grazing animals and prefer partial woodland or open grasslands. Adult males typically weigh up to 220 lbs, with exceptionally large males weighing in at 330 lbs. The lifespan of the fallow deer is anywhere from 12-16 years.
