Like all flower mantis species, the Devils Flower Mantis climbs to the top of a flower stalk and stands very still until prey comes close enough for it to strike. One of the most known mantis traits is their sexual cannibalism. It’s still not clear why the female begins eating the male before the deed is done. Ouch!
