Here’s another border collie. Not sure if I mentioned it before but… they were bred in the UK to be a working dog, primarily in herding sheep. They are prized for their intelligence and obedience. They are a medium sized dog with a thick coat that frequently sheds. The most common is a black and white coat with black, white, and tan coming in a close second. Some have solid, single color coats and others up to four different colors including mottled or Merle coats, such as this one. Merle coated collies can have blue or odd mismatched eye colors. Shepherding superstition often leads handlers to avoid all white or mostly white dogs due to the unfounded idea that the sheep won’t respect a white or almost white dog.
