Angora Rabbit

The angora rabbit is a domestic rabbit bred for its long, soft wool, which is finer than cashmere. They are one of the oldest domestic rabbit breeds. They do require constant grooming to prevent the wool from becoming matted and unusable. The angora can have its wool clipped 3-4 times per year. Constant grooming is also a must to prevent a dangerous condition known as wool block, which happens when the digestive tract becomes blocked with wool. The average lifespan for the angora rabbit is 7-12 years.
