Aardvark

The aardvark is a medium sized, nocturnal, burrowing animal found in Africa. It’s main diet consists of ants and termites. It has a long snout and is sometimes referred to as the African anteater. It’s teeth have no enamel and wear down and regrow constantly. The adult aardvark only has cheek teeth at the back of the jaw. The mouth is small and tubular, typical of ant and termite feeders. Their tongues can reach up to 12 inches in length. They zig-zag when foraging for food and often will not revisit the same area for 5-8 days to allow the nests time to recover before feeding on it again.

Does anyone remember the Aardvark vs Ant cartoon? LOL
