The white tiger comes from a rare pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger. There are also other genetic conditions which remove most of the tiger’s striping, producing an animal that’s almost pure white. Due to inbreeding, white tigers are prone to strabismus (crossed eyes). They are also suffer from photosensitivity (intolerance of light) like albinos.
