The long-eared jeroba is a nocturnal mouse-like rodent. It has a long tail, long hind legs for jumping and exceptionally large ears. They are found in palearctic ecozones of southernmost Mongolia to the Takla-Makan Desert, Mengxin, Aerijin Mountain, and Qing-Zang Plateau regions of north western China. Thelong-eared jeroba ranges from 2.8-3.5″ in length. Its tail measures twice this size, 5.9-6.4″. It’s diet consists mainly of insects.
