Here’s the face detail on the lion portrait. I feel like there’s so much expression in the eyes of both animals and humans. If you don’t get it right, the portrait can seem flat and lifeless. So for me, eyes are always a challenge that I look forward to in every portrait that I do. I want that to be the initial draw…the one thing that really draws the viewer’s attention and pulls them into the image, the thing that compels them to take a closer look. Hopefully, I’ve done this one justice!
