It’s Really Simple…
Step 1: Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to retain a place on the client wait list. This is 100% refundable for any reason as long as work on your pet’s portrait hasn’t begun yet. Wait times can vary anywhere between 2-6 months according to current workload. An approximate delivery time will be discussed with the client. Inquire ahead of time if you have a specific date in mind. A fee may be applied for rush orders.
Step 2: Design
Portrait style and size will be discussed after your photograph(s) have been received. Portrait quality will depend greatly on the photographs provided. Please review the section on how to photograph your pet for best portrait results.
Step 3: Proof
Before work on your portrait begins, a mock up (JPEG) of what the final portrait will look like will be sent to you via email for your approval.
Step 4: Progress
I will send two in-progress shots of your portrait for your input and direction, if any.
Step 5: Final
When your pet’s portrait is complete, a digital image of the final drawing will be emailed to you. At this time, minor changes to the portrait can still be made (more than 2 changes will require an additional $50 each). Once you are completely satisfied with the portrait, it will be sprayed with a fixative that locks the graphite in place and prevents smearing. This process eliminates any possibility of making further changes on my part as the graphite can no longer be erased. At this time, your final payment will be required.
…
After the final payment has been received, I will deliver your portrait without further ado via USPS or FedEx.
Step 6: Shipping
I ship domestic and worldwide at the client’s expense. Each portrait is packaged in a shipping tube or other secure package to ensure its safe delivery. Each piece is insured for its full value. Shipping costs are calculated separately according to size and destination.
Please see Price List page for details.
If you would like to commission a portrait, or if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
