The crocodile is found throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Crocodiles have a protruding fourth tooth, extra webbing on their back feet, and can tolerate saltwater. There are many different species of crocodile, which range in size from 4.9 ft for the dwarf crocodile to 23 ft for the saltwater crocodile. Crocodiles are able to replace each of their 80 teeth up to 50 times in their 35-75 year lifespan.
