Caribou, or reindeer are found in the North Americas, Canada, Europe and Eurasia. They’re of the same species which include elk, moose and deer. A day old caribou can already outrun an Olympic sprinter. Males grow and shed their velvet covered antlers every year. Both male and female caribou have antlers in most species. And on average the bull’s antlers are second largest to the moose relative to body size.
