Between December and April, the Kohola, or humpback whale migrates from Alaska to Hawaii each year to mate, give birth and rear their young. Adults range in length from 39-52 ft and weighs approximately 79,000 lbs. At birth, kohola calves measure 20 ft and are just shy of 2 tons.
