Walrus

The walrus is a large flippered marine mammal easily recognized by their prominent tusks and whiskers. They can be found about the North Pole, and subarctic seas of the Northern Hemisphere. The adult male walruses in the Pacific can easily weigh more than 4,400 lbs. Among Pinnipeds (those of the seal species) walruses are exceeded in size by only two species of elephant seals. Walruses live in shallow waters above the continental shelf  spending significant amounts of time on the ice foraging for mollusks.
