Tarsier

The tarsier is a primate found in all the islands of Southeast Asia. They are small animals with enormous eyes. They also have very long hind legs due mostly to the extremely long tarsus bones of the feet, thus its name. The tarsier has elongated fingers, with the third finger being about the same length as the upper arm. They are entirely carnivorous, eating insects, primarily. But they will also dine on birds, snakes, lizards and bats. All tarsier species are nocturnal and all were built for leaping.
