Welcome to my pencil pet portrait site! My name is Myra and I am a professional pet portrait artist. All of the pet portraits in my portfolio were hand-drawn by myself. Click each portrait to see them in more detail and feel free to browse through the client testimonials.

If you would like to commission a pencil pet portrait of your own pet, please check out the simple process of How It Works. I work from O'ahu, HI, but with email and priority shipping, I can pretty much work with anyone in the U.S. without too much trouble. International shipping does require some extra time as there are extra steps with customs, etc.

How It Works

A 50% deposit is required to retain a place on the client wait list. This is 100% refundable for any reason as long as work on your pet’s portrait hasn’t begun yet. Wait times can vary anywhere between 2-6 months according to current workload. An approximate delivery time will be discussed with the client. Inquire ahead of time if you have a specific date in mind. A fee may be applied for rush orders.

Price List

These prices are for black and white portraits and color pencil portraits for standard frame sizes. For all portraits, I leave a 1-2″ clean border for matting purposes (although they look great without one!). Prices are for single subjects only. Add $100 for each additional pet you’d like in the same portrait. Please note that multiple subjects are only suitable for sizes 11×14 and above.

Planning Your Photographs

Your portrait’s success will depend largely upon the images you supply. It can be difficult to almost impossible to accurately capture the coloring and markings, let alone the personality of your pet if the lighting in the photo is bad or if the image is blurry. Below are some tips you may find helpful in taking the best pictures possible to create the most successful portrait.
